In just one week, Backtrace will be exhibiting and presenting a live demo at the Montreal International Gaming Summit. This is the 14th year of MIGS17, with the 2017 edition set in Montreal, CA at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal with a play time of 3 days: December 11th to the 13th. The show will be featuring expo, live demos, sessions, master classes, workshops, a job fair, and plenty of networking opportunities! Did you catch all that? In brief, it’s going to be a packed and exciting conference that our team is looking forward to attending.
MIGS17 is the second gaming conference we’ve attended, after GDC in March. Backtrace is a tool for individuals or companies building games on engines that run on C++, and conferences like these are a great chance for us to meet the game developer community. We had an incredible time at GDC, and are proud to bring an upgraded product to Montreal. Since March, we’ve been grinding to level up our Unreal Support. We’re happy to say that we now have customers using UE4, an open beta, an integration guide, and a marketplace plugin being released soon. But that’s not all we have to talk about at MIGS17! Beyond Backtrace’s campaign to offer the most powerful crash management around for Unreal Engine 4, our team took on some DLC; Amazon Lumberyard. That’s right! If you’re as excited about trying Amazon Lumberyard as we are, we’re already prepared to support you throughout your game’s development.
For the Live Demo on Tuesday, our CEO/Co-Founder, Abel Mathew, is partnering with Chris Brunning from Amazon Lumberyard in “How to Manage the Onslaught of Crashes with Backtrace”. Here’s a sneak peak:
In this demo of the Backtrace product Abel intends to show developers how Backtrace can help them take control of their game development with the most powerful end-to-end crash management tool on the market. He will first explain what Backtrace does, and what challenges led to its creation. Next he will explore how the product can be an invaluable tool for game developers, particularly those working on Amazon Lumberyard and Unreal Engine. During this demo, Chris Brunning from Lumberyard will show exactly how Backtrace jumps into action the moment a game crashes.
