FREE CRASH MANAGEMENT FOR OPEN SOURCE PROJECTS
We use a number of open source projects in our software, and we wanted to give back to the community. This offering gives us an opportunity to do so. Example open source projects Backtrace uses include Concurrency Kit, libcurl, http-parser, libcircmetrics, GHC, and React, and more.
WHAT’S THE CATCH?
There’s no catch. We’re excited to offer our product to the Open Source community. This offering is only good for projects without a commercial arm, however. If your project does have a commercial arm, then you’ll still get to try us out for 30-days before deciding whether to move forward.
Projects that qualify will benefit from using Backtrace’s crash management platform. You will get access to Backtrace services with:<
- Unlimited # of users
- 1,000 crashes/month
- 90-day retention
- Breakpad/Crashpad/minidump integration
- Hosted SaaS
For projects that exceed those volumes, need access to our core dump analysis, or have strict deployment requirements (ex: on-premise, SSO, custom data retention), then contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll figure out a way to make it work. We have a few more details on qualification in our Documentation.
- Sign up for your free 30-day trial of Backtrace
- Fill out this short form to apply for the Open Source exemption
Our team will review your responses for an exemption within a week. In the meantime, you can enjoy using Backtrace until we complete review.
